Tassy's masterpieces

Dave thinks this is "the best layout ever" and said I should do one the same, lol. This layout cracks me up tho. Note any resemblance between her scrapbooking and mine? No? That's cos she has her OWN style!

I said "let me give you some of my scraps so you can do some layering. See how I'm doing some layering on mine?".

"No, I'm not going to do any layering." lol.

Do you see any patterned paper at all? No. Me neither. I do however see some of my VERY old scrapbooking supplies which she embraced. :) Oh, she took the photo too. Nice nostrils. She took this photo too. She said "now Giraffey, smile for Mama. I'm going to do a layout using this photo and I'm going to call it 'Smile for Mama'". She's true to her word.

I'm always wanting her to use my old letter stickers, but no, she really wanted me to write her title. "Write 'Smile for Mama' in fancy writing". So I wrote 'smile...'.

"No Mummy, those aren't fancy letters.". Silly me. I keep thinking fancy means FANCY. I thought she might like to colour in my fancy letters. Fancy actually means CURSIVE. "OK, write the next word in cursive then write Mama in plain letters.". Did I mention she has her own specific ideas? We didn't do any scrapbooking today, but we DID make these cute little guys together! They were lots of fun. I saw the new Sassafrass Lass felties here and thought they were definitely doable. Tassy was keen. She sent me away from the computer and drew the ones she wanted to copy. I didn't even get to see all the originals! I think they're pretty cute. I have to get my eyes off them tho. I thought they were for scrapbooking but I've been told they're for playing. Something I learnt today - you can use a black Sharpie to change the colour of your daggy dusty pink brads!

Ah Sharpie, is there nothing it wont do? I happen to like dusty pink brads, but seeing as I imagine they turned into eyeballs once blackened, having eyeballs looking like they'd just smoked a massive joint probably isn't a great look. Best to sharpie them.
So cute! I love the felt characters! Did they take you long? I can't wait to see the LO's you use them on!

Charlotte is the same, everything is 'no mum I can do it' ( and she's only 3.5yrs old)

LOVING your felt creations.

Might have to go and make some myself. Save a little money then hey
