Tarisota Kit

The Tarisota Gallery has been updated with Design Team samples for the Parisian Glamour kit. It's a really beautiful kit. Tarisota kits are so effortless to work with, everything just comes together so easily. I love how there are always some interesting things in the kits which aren't your traditional scrapbooking supplies - like feathers and hessian.

My sister-in-law, a photographer, took this photo of cousins Tassy and Lara for Nanny to use on her Christmas cards last Christmas. Such a beautiful photo of them. Boy we had to work hard to get Lara to sit still and smile!





I love this photo of my sister Felicity with her daughter Sienna.





"Very Up High" was one of Tassy's expressions when she was about two years old. So cute. I still say it now sometimes. Another favourite was "Put it there with the others. There you go, others!".





And this old photo of my sisters and I, turns out I have scrapped it before and even given it the same title! LOL. Oh well. :)





My final project is a super duper easy bookmark made from one of the transparent cards. It's a great bookmark cos it's so sturdy!




I was super excited yesterday when the next kit arrived and got started on it today! It's a beauty too.

Tarisota

I'm so thrilled to be a guest designer for Tarisota, along with dear Mardi, Tammy James, Robyn Wood, Gail Lindner and Ruby Bisson.

The kit we used is called Lost Wonderland and is beautiful and elegant and glittery. The kit contains not just typical scrapbooking products but also fabric, leather cord, feathers, bookpaper, paper doilies and beads. Oh boy I had so much fun creating!

OK then.

This was the first layout I did and I was sufficiently thrilled to throw myself into another three layouts. This is my sister Felicity with her daughter Sienna at the beach near mum and dad's. Mum sent me the photos and journalling. I think the neutral layout suits beach photos pretty perfectly! Don't you?





Here's an old photo of me reading Robert The Rosehorse to my sister Alicia. Yes I wrote the wrong book title in my journalling - oops. I've sinced fixed it up tho. The elegant chair and butterfly stamps are from the kit too.





Next up a photo of Alicia and Felicity with me and we're all wearing clothes made by mum. She made pretty much all of our clothes and continues to make clothes for us (like bridesmaids dresses last year) and sews for her grandchildren too. I took the text from one of mum's emails to use as the journalling. It might be a bit small to read so here tis for you.

"I absolutely loved sewing for you girls. It was my relaxation, my therapy, my creative outlet. It's what kept me sane I think. I sewed every Tuesday. I would get as much housework done as I could by 10am and then would spend the rest of the day sewing. Yvette's pinafore is brushed cotton (I think a piece Auntie Jan gave me). Alicia's was a pinafore made with quilted cotton and Felicity's was a brushed cotton smock."




And lastly my Tassy celebrating Earth Hour, drawing by candlelight under the watchful eye of her LPS friends. I thought I was pretty clever with this one. I had cut out the banner for a previous layout above from the background paper and was left with two pieces. So I used some trim to join them together and backed it with transparency for stability. I was pretty chuffed with how it turned out!





I've been dying to see what the other girls have created with the kit and I see that the gallery has just been updated so I'm off to have a look!
