Granny beanie

I'm very proud of my latest crochet effort. A granny beanie!

I have pinned SO MANY crochet patterns to my dedicated Pinterest board. I tried my hand at a granny beanie this time. I kind of did my own thing but used the pattern from this pin as a starting point. You know, if you're new to crochet like me, I think granny squares (and granny circles and granny beanies) are the way to go. You only need to know two stitches and it's easy to see the big hole where you stick the hook each time (hey, get your mind out of the gutter).

Great job with the beanie! The colours you've used are lovely too. I totally agree that granny squares are the way to go when you're a beginner, you basically only have to use one type of stitch!
