My birthday

Dave, Tassy and I all had the day off yesterday to spend my birthday together. I love that little tradition of ours. :) The birthday boy or girl gets to choose where we go for lunch and what we do, so I chose Japanese for a bit of an adventure, followed by indulgent Koko Black for dessert.

No photos of the birthday girl, but some of our food. :) ...raw fish, octopus, fish eggs, possibly some eel and some other things I couldn't identify.

Tassy was very good too, trying everything.

Do'h, I forgot to take a photo of the whole meal - there were lots of little side dishes/condiments. You can see a couple in this photo with the complimentary dish they gave us when they heard it was my birthday.

And then to Koko Black for dessert. And WHAT a dessert(s).
