So stoked!

On my tenth birthday my Nanny gave me the first Anne Book - Anne of Green Gables. Over the next few years she gave me more Anne Books for birthdays and Christmas. She thought she'd given me the whole series but I knew I didn't have the last two. So for twenty years I've been keeping an eye out for the last two books in second hand stores. I only wanted to buy them in the same edition so I had a complete matching set. Well FINALLY I found them on ebay and they arrived a few days ago! I am SO happy to finally have the complete set!!!

Here are my new books! Here's my complete set. The bottom two books aren't Anne Books but they're by the same author. I'm looking forward to reading these with Tassy! I love reading novels with her. We just finished Harry Potter and next I think we'll read another Narnia book. Although she's pretty keen to read the second Harry Potter. We're also half way thru the Laura Ingalls Wilder series. I love them too. :)

I remember you had those books! How awesome to have the whole set in those cool vintage covers. I love the font on the spines! I love the second-hand bookshop at Epping, I'm always on the look out for old books there. I got Merryl of the Stones, which was my fave book when I was in Primary School, and it cost me $2.20!! Hehehe, bargain.

What a great collection Yvette! Whilst I'm not familiar with your series, your post reminded me of the Donna Parker books which I loved and used to have - I don't know what happened to them. Did a google search and there is some info on the net about the Donna Parker books so I'm stoked too! (Also read all the Trixie Belden books too, but didn't own many).
