Scrappy shares

Does everyone find school portraits so hard to scrapbook? Here's Tassy's from last year. I decided at the time to go with a basic design which I could use year after year. And now I've done her layout for this year's school portrait. I like the idea of using the same design, since they're all in the same album and I love to compare them. I'd already scrapbooked her Playschool and Preschool photos which aren't the same, but I'm happy to leave them as they are. I've punched a half circle out of the top of the layout so that when it's in the album you can see that behind the layout is a booklet (I've since gone back and punched from the top of the Kindy layout too). The booklet contains the class photo and the individual portraits of all the children in the class.
I've also been busy doing some layouts for Kim's July snippets class. Here's a sneak peek at my July double layout...And this month I designed the single layout! There's a sneak peek below but I can't show you the layout... you'll have to book into the class to see the whole thing! But I wanted to share the journalling. It was something Tassy said to me one day, out of the blue... "Mummy, do you know what a friend means to me? Even if you're in the darkest room in the world, you feel safe". Awww... Wise words from a then six year old! Lastly... Do you have a diecut machine? My sister Charlotte is selling two brand new die cut packs right here and here on ebay. They are very cool packs! She also has some other things for sale here.

Fantastic layouts as always Yvette! I love the idea of putting the booklet behind the layout. I still haven't done either of Ayden's school pics... really should do that! LOL

I think it's a great idea to scrap the LO's all the same, it will be wonderful to flick through them in a few years time and see how Tassy's grown up! I found all my old driver's licences last night and layed them out and compared them to my current one! I think I currently look most like my lerner's permit pic! Lol! (Maybe that's wishful thinking, but I really think it's true!) It was fun to compare how I've changed over 10 years!
