I hate going for too long without a post! I should have a layout or two to share tomorrow but I felt like posting some photos tonight.
I had been working my way thru my patterned papers for so long, rarely buying any new ones. Well my pp stash had gotten dangerously low so it was time to order up! I got over 60 new papers from 2peas! The pile is about an inch thick!
Did I really need 16 different yellow designs? Actually, I think I did. I love yellow and have never really had much of it in my stash! Look at these beautiful textures... flocked and glittered designs... and some transparencies... they had so many beautiful papers that I'd never seen before.so classy...Apparently I needed 7 packs of brads... but aren't they all beautiful!
...and a few other things... the KI stickers are super glittery but you can't tell too well here...I discovered last week that I had two jars of peanut butter that were near their expiry dates, so I looked up a recipe on the internet for peanut butter cupcakes. Here's the recipe I used, plus I added a handful of choc chips. It was a bit annoying that the quantities were all in grams, but I wasn't terribly accurate and it worked out fine. They were screaming out for some ganache on top and the finished product was SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD! I will have to make them again. Dave and Tassy weren't too keen on them (what's WRONG with them!) but I took them to work and they were very popular. Here's my own ganache recipe if you're interested...
100g dark chocolate
1/3 cup cream
Put the ingredients in a mug and heat in the microwave for about a minute. Stir until the chocolate is melted and all the ingredients are well combined. So easy!! Then I just poured a spoonful of ganache over each cupcake.
