My mum wanted to see some photos of Tassy's room. She has a few new things...
I bought this shelf at Ikea about... let me see... about 15 years ago! Until a few months ago it was painted in a blue wash and hadn't been hung in about 10 years. I had to give it about 10 coats of paint... I guess that's why undercoat was invented. I love the shelf on Tassy's pink wall. It holds a few precious things... Some things she got when she was born that have never been on display until now - the piggy bank, Pooh snowglobe, silver box for her first tooth and Anne Geddes figure. Plus her Momiji dolls, an angel doll made by mum and a few other things. The wall decals were bought at a local market (the seller is from Sydney) and they are SO cute! The bunting is new, on sale for half price at DFO (woohoo!), the paper lanterns were from a giftshop and I {heart} them. I painted the butterfly for Tassy years ago - blatantly copying one I saw at local markets. On her bed is the Babushka doll we made recently (Tassy named her Nina), Lovey who we made last year, a cushion made by mum and you can see some of the bluebirds quilt I recently finished.

Hi Yvette,
I couldn't find an email for you so am contacting you this way. What a lovely room and such a bright, cheery color! We are celebrating color this month on Ohdeedoh.com (a site covering children, design and the home) and would love to share your room with our readers with a short post and a re-direct to your blog. Let me know if you're interested - thanks!
Carrie
