napping

I had Rage on the TV Saturday morning. The last hour was awesome 80s film clips. Just like I used to watch on Saturday mornings as a teenager. Mum would only let us have the TV on in the mornings if we were cooking (clever mum) so we'd bake cakes or biscuits while watching film clips. Well, on Saturday Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach" came on and after a while Tassy said "what's she saying? Papadum freak?". Well Dave and I nearly wet our pants with laughter. LOL I'm still laughing as I type this. :D So for the rest of the day and the next we were singing "Papadum freak, I'm in curry deep". he he...

I'll leave you with a layout I did on the weekend. It's an old photo of Tassy at 1½yo and the layout is scraps galore! Tassy would never stay under the covers. She always ended up sleeping across the bed, or upside down. In winter I had to dress her in those all in ones with feet in them so she wouldn't get cold.Just now I remembered this photo of me. Upside down with a foot hanging out. The covers don't look disturbed so it looks like they didn't even bother trying to put me under the covers, lol. How SEVENTIES is my room! See that little rubber lamp in the corner? I still have it! It's in Tassy's cupboard. Dave won't let me use it in case the whole thing melts, lol.

Hi Y
Yes, we enjoyed the retro Rage at the weekend too. Life was so much simpler then, in many respects...Richard & I were talking about Bananarama's perms and I made the comment to him that I'd always wanted a spiral perm and said "Yvette had one"...Guess I had perm envy!

PS Forgot to say I love Tassy's scrapping and your comments about her endeavours. The "papa don't preach" comment made me laugh out loud too!
