Easter weekend

Tassy was supposed to stay in bed till 8am on Easter morning, but she came into our room at 6.30 saying "I just can't wait any longer!". We had a cuddle in bed then got up and hunted around the house for eggs. She was SO excited! Then after breakfast we went down to the oval at the end of our street and the Easter Bunny had hidden MORE eggs there! Later we went to Dave's parents for lunch with his family. Still no cuddles with baby Lara cos I have a miserable cold. And would you believe that it has turned me completely off chocolate? All I had over the weekend was one teeny weeny easter egg! And you know what, because I've gone off it completely it doesn't even bother me that that's all I've had! Anyway, there will be no shortage of chocolate in our house for at least a few weeks (that's just Easter eggs of course, cos there's ALWAYS some form of chocolate in our house!).I had a cuppa with Kim on Saturday (her family came to Canberra to visit a very sick friend). We had a lovely relaxing time, chatting about all kinds of things and it was so nice to just sit and chat and not have to rush off. Thank you so much Kim! I just pinched this pic from Kim's blog. :)We watched Sweeney Todd over the weekend. I admit I didn't know a lot about this movie. But I love Johnny Depp, Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter and that was enough for me. BUT I had no idea it was a musical. Dave HATES musical, so I nearly died when the film started and someone burst into song! I immediately turned to Dave and said "I didn't know it was a musical!!! Do you want to watch something else?" But he said no, and kept we watching. It was about 80% singing and 20% talking. I actually love musicals but the whole time I was thinking about Dave cringing, lol, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I would have otherwise. But I really liked the movie, JD and HBC were excellent, as were Alan Rickman and Sacha Baron Cohen. I liked the plot, had to turn away from all that gore tho. Not a fan of blood and slashing! Spirited Away was on SBS on the weekend. I saw it a few years ago and I really, really....... really........ did not like that movie. It made me really uncomfortable. I would go so far as to say I hated it. And there aren't many movies I hate. Have you seen it? What did you think?

Oh, I hope you're feeling better soon! That's miserable to have gone off chocolate right at Easter time!

I haven't seen Spirited Away, and I think I'll give it a miss from the sounds of things.

Yvette, Ned LOVES Spirited Away, but I'm not a fan. He taped it and watches it every now and then....he is a big fan of animation.

Glad you had a nice catch up with Kim!

Lovely photos Yvette - gorgeous!!
I am so hanging out to see Sweeney Todd!! I LOVE Tim Burton films. And Johnny Depp is super sweet.
I have seen Spirited Away. I must say, it's a movie you grow to like. At first, I didn't really like it. I thought it was okay, but then I watched it again, and for me, it was better the second time around. And I think, the first time I fell asleep before the ending - LOL!!!
Cheers - Helenx
