After Christmas

I finally got my act together and am uploading some Christmas photos! Tassy just adored this house's Christmas lights and decorations. Can you see Dave and Tassy in the middle?Visiting Bella in hospital on Christmas day.Tassy pulling some faces for me while I practice on my new camera.
Her new Tinkerbell (more practicing for me). This is a groovy little thing. Two pieces of cardboard slotted together to form a tree shape, with a liquid poured in the saucer at the bottom. Over a few hours it grew all these green chrystals. So cool! I was expecting them to all fall off when the tree dried but a week later they're still there. I got the kit from a toy catalogue.Oh - Happy New Year!!! We had planned to visit Bella after dinner on New Years then go to the 9pm fireworks. Just as I was dishing up dinner a big storm hit. We had torrential rain, hail and wind. The drain outside our garage blocked and the garage flooded. Dave was out there in the rain and hail trying to unblock the drain and bucketing pooled water from outside the garage. I was inside the garage trying to stop water coming in. Eventually the drain unblocked itself and we cleaned up a bit in the garage. We had a cold dinner then visisted Bella late. We skipped the fireworks which still went ahead (Dave decided the weather was too bad for us to go - Tassy was devastated, I was disappointed). Then we had a quiet night at home watching The Big Night In with John Foreman (is that show ordinary or what!) and watched the fireworks.

We saw Happy Feet today. Tassy and I liked it, Dave... not so much. He's not into musicals at all! I totally forgot Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman were in it. I didn't recognise their voices at all! It was a different kind of kids movie. At one point I thought it was going to have a sad ending and I felt really uncomfortable about that. But it kept going and ended up happy. I love happy endings :)

Hi Yvette,

Great photos. I love the photo of the girls in the hospital bed. They both look very angelic.

We had no damage to our place. We drove to a friend's place around 7.00pm, the water in the storm water drains was amazing.

Your new camera is great. I love the close ups with a blurred background. I cant do that on my camera. Glad Bella is feeling better.
