a newbie and an oldie

Lea came over the other night and we had another late scrap session. It was fantastic but it took me a few days to recover! Here is one of my layouts from the night. This is Tasmyn with Bella (Lea's daughter). How cute are they in this photo...
I now have my first international publication, YAY! This is in the November issue of Up2Scrap, a NZ magazine. I got my contributor's copy today. I didn't know if they'd send me a freebie but I'm stoked that they did cos I've never seen it to buy! I'm half way thru reading it.Tassy and I had a lovely afternoon outside. I'm a bit of a woos and only like to be outside if the weather is perfect. Not too hot or too cold or too windy. Yadda yadda yadda. This arvo was perfect. Tassy played in the sandpit and I made some Christmas cards. Tassy just loves to be outside and I'm much happier to be out there now that our landscaping is finished. Our new grass is dying in patches tho so I've just started redirecting the water from the washing machine onto it. We have been using buckets from the shower, bath and basins on the garden for a few weeks. I'm sure it's really helping.

We had such a great family day yesterday, after a bad start to the weekend with Tassy throwing a ridiculous tantrum at the shops on Saturday. Yesterday we went to Old Parliament House and did the Super Sleuth Clue Hunt (try saying that out loud!). Had yummy chinese for lunch then checked out the new part of the Canberra Centre. It's a big area but there aren't many shops in it yet. I really don't know why they've opened it already, there's still a lot of work going on. But when it's finished it will be great. I love shopping!

My baby sister Charlotte is about to end her 4 week holiday in the US. Hope you had a great time and have a safe trip home!!! See you in 11 days :)
