It's Wednesday so it's time to share another outfit. This time it's a skirt I made. These were the first fabrics I bought recently, in December, and I wanted to make a skirt. They're more Prints Charming fabrics from Spotlight. How exciting that Spotlight are stocking them!!! I'm so happy about that - I hope it's a successful move! I didn't have a skirt pattern but it wasn't too hard. I cut out a skinny rectangle for the waistband and sewed together a long rectangle for the skirt. I gathered the skirt and sewed it to the waistband, added a zip at the back and the border along the bottom. Because the waistband was perfectly straight it didn't sit right, so I sewed a dart in each side so it's now tapered at the top.
From memory, the skirt cost about $20 to make.
Fabric: $18
Zip: $2
Pattern: none
Skirt: Made by me
Top: Temt
Shoes: Pierre Fontain
Necklace: Diva
Temperature that day? 44 degrees. Sheesh!
