Venice

We have a precious new baby in our family.  My sister Alicia had a girl, Venice Emma, and we drove to Sydney on the weekend to meet her.  She was 8 days old when we saw her.  It was so special to meet her so new and so fresh.  She's absolutely beautiful.  I had lots of lovely cuddles... it was so special.

Charlotte and Felicity came over too (we were only ALL there for about 10 minutes though!) so got a photo of all the cousins together.

BEAUTIFUL pics! Oh I love them all!
How funny that you took one of Jai and I leaving?! I do like my funky outfit though, so it was nice to see what I looked like in it. LOL!
I loved seeing all of Venice's expressions! Isn't she just so beautiful! She's getting fairer and fairer too! Just like her Mummy.
My fave pic is the one of Alicia and Venice where Alicia is looking straight at the camera. So beautiful. GREAT PICS!!

Hi Yvette,

thanks so much for taking the time to write me a note. I've had a look at your frocks, and they are all lovely. You are very clever.

I don't know why all the frocks in the shops are so short. I am in my 40's and I feel (more than a little!) self conscious about flashing my legs. Anything remotely stylish is way above knee length - very frustrating. I know sewing my own is the answer, but I feel a headache coming on just typing those words! Only kidding, well...kind-of.

I have found a Burda pattern for a 60's-ish shift dress which is MEANT to be for beginners (!) I'll keep you posted...

What a beautiful babe! Congratulations to your Sister (and co)
