My Mama

It's really a coincidence that these two layouts are both about my mum. How funny!

I've been meaning to do this layout about six year old mum for a long time. Since Tassy was six actually - three years ago! Back then I did a layout about me at her age and asked mum questions about her at the same age. It's taken me this long to get some photos to go along with the text but I got there in the end! This page looks much better in real life - it's looks very dull and bland here.

For this one I used a lovely photo taken on Mothers Day a few years ago and the journalling is from my contribution to a photobook my family put together for mum's 60th birthday.

Both pages are so beautiful Yvette! I really love the idea behind the first...recording the details of each of you at the same age...how special and so interesting to look back on!

What beautiful pages! I love the collection of things you have used around the pics on the first page. And I love the subject matter- that you did a page for each of you at that age. I wonder what my answers would say!
Man the journalling on the second page is full on. It still brought tears to my eyes (yep! even I cried!) like when I read it in Mum's book! Such beautiful things you said :)

Thankyou Yvette for two such beautiful pages. It's a bit hard to type with tears running down my face. I love you so much. Wish I could share my coffee and melting moment with you instead of being by myself.
Love you,
Mummy

It's moments like this that I feel we were robbed of Grandma Grace with her Altzheimers long before she died. I really wanted to ask her what it was like raising teens and couldn't. I would have loved to have known what her life at 6 yrs was like in 1928!!! I will send you a couple of photos of her at 6yrs.
love aaj

Wow Yvette, what fantastic details you have recorded. I love the look of the decorative top and bottom of your 2nd layout!
