Quilt in progress

I finished piecing the front and back of Tassy's new quilt and I took it to the quilters two weeks ago. I love how both the front and back look and I plan on putting it on her bed upside down sometimes to utilise the back. Silly me didn't think to take a proper photo so I only have these ones below.

The quilter put my quilt at the end of the line... behind about 100 others! I will have to wait about three months to get it back! Noooooooo!

The front...

The back is a whole lot of white with a woven white stripe which you can't really see in this photo, with three pieced border strips. I love the fresh colours...

You can actually take it to a quilter?!?! So you sew all the squares together first? I haven't made a quilt as I didn't think It'd fit it through my sewing machine. I didn't know you could actually take it somewhere to get quilted!!! Love the colours!!! I might have to attemp to make one now!

What beautiful colours! The turnaround time for quilting can be a bit disheartening, but soooo worth it when you get it back. I sometimes "book mine in" when I am almost finished the piecing...is that jumping the queue? LOL! You've done a beautiful job!
