First day of {school}

Today was my turn! I started my new job today. I was SURPRISINGLY calm about the whole thing. Maybe that's something that has come with age. In the past I would have been SOOOOO nervous about starting a new job! I was very organised and packed my drink, snacks and lunch last night. Five minutes after I left home I realised I'd left it at home. Do'h! I was so bummed! Luckily there are shops near work so it wasn't a problem. I was just really annoyed! So I started my new job. The people are really nice. At the moment I'm just doing training so I won't get stuck into work for a little while. I think I'm gonna really like these two day weeks! :D And Dave handled his Mr Mum duties very well today. He got Tassy breakfast, packed her food and drinks and got her all ready for school. He tried calling me before he went to pick her up. It's a 15-20 minute walk to school and just as he was about to leave home it started raining. Torrential rain. He didn't know where the umbrella was and I didn't answer my phone, so he had to walk in it. lol He was ABSOLUTELY drenched by the time he got to school. His phone was saturated and is now broken and his wallet (and everything in it) is also saturated and has stained his tan pants. Luckily for Tassy it completely stopped raining by the time she got out of school, lol. Then tonight he cooked dinner! Oh my goodness, I can't remember the last time he cooked! It sure makes it easier on the working person when the other person does everything else! I think this is gonna work out really well. :) Dave took this "first day of school" photo of me this morning. :)Lastly I wanted to let you know about the Woolworths Drought Action Day. Friday next week (15 Feb) Woolies are donating their entire profits from the day to help the farming community. So if you can, please do your weekly shop on the Friday! Hopefully I will remember to post a reminder on my blog mid next week.
